Proposals to Review

This is your own private list of proposals assigned to you for review. The review process has two steps: "Record an evaluation" and "Add a comment."

Record an evaluation

The “Recorded” column provides a link to the proposal you need to rate from 1 to 5 (1 being poorest and 5 being the best). The rating descriptions are listed below in the "Proposal Review Criteria" section.

Add a comment

The "Comments" column provides a link to the comment section. In this section, you can give comments limited to 150 words. Comments may apply to Budget, Merit, Clarity, or other considerations. You can also provide suggestions on how the proposal might be improved, particularly if one or more of your numeric ratings are low.

Submit Evaluation

In order for your evaluation and comments to be recorded, you must click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.

Note

Your ratings remain private between you and the grants program administrators. Comments may be relayed to applicants, but without attribution to specific reviewers. To skip reviewing a proposal due to a potential conflict of interest, simply make your comment "COI". Make sure to state if you believe this proposal fails to meet basic eligibility criteria.

Proposal Review Criteria

Merit and impact
(50% of overall rating)

Will the proposed use of funds make a positive contribution to the field? Will awarding funds for this proposal be money well spent?

Feasibility of proposal
(25% of overall rating)

Does the proposal make a clear, articulate case for the proposed use of funds?

Appropriateness for requested budget
(25% of overall rating)

How well does the proposed use of funds fit within the proposed budget? Is the budget adequate to address the stated goals of the proposal? Does the proposal describe how the budgeted funds will be used?
